(3 days / 15 hours of Instruction)
The 50 Cal Instructor course is designed to enable a 50 caliber operator to plan and conduct 50 caliber training within his/her employment zone. The class starts with safe weapon-handling skills and the instruction required to operate a  weapon system under  operational conditions. It will then progress to encompass all the relevant skills associated with weapon deployments and range selection and conduct. Students will require 100 rounds of ammunition. 

The course will cover the following (not exhaustive) topics:

  • Basic rifle safety
  • Basic rifle maintenance
  • Rifle setup
  • Maintenance of the desire to learn
  • Classroom set up
  • Fault checking techniques
  • Range set up and safety
  • Range Conduct
  • 50 caliber history

   
NOTE* *This course is restricted to Mil/ LE and private contractors with valid credentials.  Military ID and LE commission cards will be checked the first day of class. **

With the growing number or armed criminals, cartel activity, terrorism and active shooter scenarios, it is increasingly likely that  officers are going to encounter heavy caliber weapons and the need to respond in kind. I This class is designed to allow departments to train their own operators and maintain a level of safety and competences.

CLASS DETAILS
  • Class Duration: 3 day
  • Weapons Required: 50 caliber rifle
  • Ammunition: Minimum of 100 rds
  • Web  Gear: Issued rifle/sniper equipment
  • Suitable attire: To include uniform or suitable equivalent (Clothing to be suitable for the time of year.)
  • Steno Pad, Pen: Notes may need to be taken
  • Eye and Ear protection
